About CMS

The Cornell Materials Society represents the university's undergraduate chapter of The Materials Research Society (MRS), The Materials Information Society (ASM), The Minerals, Metals, and Materials Society (TMS), and American Ceramics Society (ACerS).

CMS is a student-run organization devoted to unity of MS&E majors and others interested in the fields of nanotechnology, biomedical engineering, semiconductors, polymers, ceramics, and metals. 

This organization provides leadership and networking opportunities to its members and helps in advancing their careers and promoting their recognition. CMS also participates in community service events to increase interest in engineering, science, and mathematics among today’s youth.
